picture randomness...

A lot happened in the past few weeks and I keep forgetting to post...

My friend, Sarah celebrated her birthday with all of her friends at a local sushi restaurant...YUM!

Then we went to Sarah's house and the boys had the best time EVER!  Lots of swinging, swimming, four-wheel riding, and much more!  Boys will be boys and they sure loved this day...thanks guys!

And my silly, baby boy making his funny face for me!

Swimming at MeMe's house the other day...he was having fun!

My running buddy, Jake!  He ran almost 2 miles alongside me and I was SO proud!!!

Striking a pose at Gander Mountain!  These funny boys...look at them with their serious faces!

And of course we had to plan a girls night out for the Magic Mike premiere...
here are a few pics from last night!!!

Overall, the movie won't win an Oscar but it was totally worth seeing, especially with my friends and family!  Thanks ladies, for a fun night out!!!  Bummer I didn't get a pic with more of my friends, but the theatre was dark and no flash on my old, iPhone 3G!  LOL!!!
I think the $9.50 ticket price was worth seeing Channing and Joe, so I was happy!!!

VBS 2012

Last week, Jake attending his first Vacation Bible School at the same place he attended preschool!  He was so happy to be placed with his buddies, Cade and Luke, and his cousin Brody!
I bet they were a wild bunch!

Church that same weekend, was centered around VBS, so lots of singing and dancing!  Church was filled with kids and it was really neat to see what all they had learned throughout the week!

we're campers!!!

The McClellen's have bought their first travel trailer and these boys were BEYOND excited to try it out for the first time- so were we!  We decided on Splashway Waterpark in Sheridan, Tx!
It was FUN and here's a few pics from our rookie trip!!!
I did get hit with the awning, drank a daquiri from a coffee mug but other than that, it was a great trip!

And the pic before they headed off to bed...

We have many more trips planned!  Since these boys love the outdoors and we do too, this made the perfect fit into our family!  We can't wait to go on our next adventure!!

BUSTED

This boy is EXACTLY like my husband...
SHY until you catch them with their guard down
and they'll be totally hysterical when nobody's looking!

In this first picture he thinks I'm just holding the phone up so he can hear the music-
but I was secretly snapping pics like crazy!!!

So, he's dancing like a fool in his DeDe's gardening hat to "Scream" by Usher

then all of a sudden, he realized Mommy was actually taking pictures!  UH OH!
BUSTED!!!!!

Oh man, I'm good!
Now if only I can fool his Daddy enough to capture some of his crazy, hysterical moments too!!

Boardwalk FUN!

excuse the bad phone pics, but we had a great time at the Kemah Boardwalk the other night! It was last minute and we decided to sit outside, brave the heat and enjoy watching the boats pass by!

fun times at BPS!

We made a Bass Pro Shop trip the other day because they are doing their "summer fun" series and had games, workshops on hunting and fishing, coloring, arts/crafts and much more!
Of course, it's our favorite place but this made it even more exciting!!!

shooting a real bow!  he was pumped!!

At Jellystone last week, we met some great people and the Mom and I had so much in common and our boys got along great, so they decided to meet us there too!  Their Mom played v-ball for a&m, taught P.E like me and their boys are the same age as ours!  FUN!
As you can see, they wanted this bass boat and it was only 49k...no biggie!!!  hahaha!

and some random pictures of our sweet boys!

and since little man had a double ear infection last week (from too much swimming!), we have been playing lots of basketball and playing outside, but unfortunately that means this little man hurts himself CONSTANTLY and check out those bloody knees :-(  poor guy!
Don't worry, once he was cleaned up, he was back shooting hoops in no time!
AND for the record, Mommy beat Daddy at three b-ball games in a row...but who's counting!!  LOL!

Aaargh!

I had been seeing advertisements for Pirates: Legends of the Gulf Coast!  In Galveston.  So, some friends decided to meet us there and we checked it out!  Very cool features and lots of neat history on the local Pirates, BUT at $10/person, I thought it would be a little longer and have more things for the kids to do...
but some cool pics and a neat experience anyway, and that's what matters!!!

they are getting their Pirate maps from a "real" Pirate and as you can see, Justin was listening to directions very carefully...LOL!

excuse the silly faces-they were "aarrggh"ing like a Pirate!!!

After we solved the mystery and the Pirates gave us our "loot", we had to stop in the gift shop and buy some authentic Pirate gear and then went to lunch!  So, a good day but still thinking they could step it up for the price...or am I just really cheap??  who knows!  LOL!  Or possibly I'm still thinking Disney-style and there could have been a Pirate ride or maybe a 3D video?

...a little more!

a little more Jellystone!

a little more swimming pool FUN!

...some ice cream cones from Aunt Paulette!  You can't see it, but the cones had faces!  SO cute!

...and some birthday party fun with purple icing on the face and up the nose!!  Mmm!

One of Jake's friends from school had a birthday party over the weekend and it was REALLY neat!  The theme was Mardi Gras and they sure go all out!  Cajun food, music, a moonwalk, adult beverages galore(YUM!) and more!  The kids had a great time, but the adults may have had more fun?!  Ha!
I told the parents there will be no topping that party...it was awesome!

SUMMER IS HERE!!

Our cousin, Dominic graduated from high school last week and the ceremony was at Reliant Stadium, home of the Houston Texans, so thankfully we were able to attend and it was a nice way to kick off summer!

ha, not like you can see him but he's there, walking up to accept his diploma!!

...and what better way to kick off summer than a last minute trip to Jellystone!

Look at him, already taking off his shoes and letting the dirt get between his toes...Ha!!

these waterslides never get old for these boys...they did them over and over...and over!
 Well, ya get the point!

We roasted marshmallows and made s'mores...such a great, camping tradition!
Then we went to the outdoor theater to watch "Rio"

It was a fun, quick trip!
These boys LOVE to be outdoors, no matter the weather
so for us, camping is the way to go!
We'll have to make another trip there soon!
