Aaargh!

I had been seeing advertisements for Pirates: Legends of the Gulf Coast!  In Galveston.  So, some friends decided to meet us there and we checked it out!  Very cool features and lots of neat history on the local Pirates, BUT at $10/person, I thought it would be a little longer and have more things for the kids to do...
but some cool pics and a neat experience anyway, and that's what matters!!!

they are getting their Pirate maps from a "real" Pirate and as you can see, Justin was listening to directions very carefully...LOL!

excuse the silly faces-they were "aarrggh"ing like a Pirate!!!

After we solved the mystery and the Pirates gave us our "loot", we had to stop in the gift shop and buy some authentic Pirate gear and then went to lunch!  So, a good day but still thinking they could step it up for the price...or am I just really cheap??  who knows!  LOL!  Or possibly I'm still thinking Disney-style and there could have been a Pirate ride or maybe a 3D video?

I went to something very similar in St. Augustine Fl. Those touristy things don't come cheap, but my son still got a kick out of it.

FYI, Thanks for hosting an awesome blog hop! I am following via Pinterest.

How cute! I wonder if Lewie would enjoy a day of acting like a pirate and sailing the high seas? Oh well, we don't have anything like that here, so I guess I won't find out just yet. Yes, prices for these type of attractions can be a little steep. Too bad there were no rides like in Disney! :)
