a fun day in Galveston!

The boys didn't have school Thursday or Friday,
so we knew we had to go have some fun with these four, crazy boys!!

We started off with lunch at Rainforest Cafe and the boys had a blast and most of the time the food isn't that great, but my salad was AWESOME and Justin thought the dinosaur chicken nuggets were the coolest!  Ha!  But the best part is that Jake hated it as a little one...
he would scream, throw a fit and tremble at the sight of all of the "fake" animals!

Then we decided to go and ride the River Adventure ride at Rainforest and the kids LOVE it!  Very cool!

My little man and I riding the ride!  He wasn't too sure about it at first but he said he loved it!

And no day in Galveston is complete without a trip to La King's...for some yummy ice cream!

Mmm, that ice cream sure looks TASTY!

and finally we ended the trip by stopping off and getting Daddy's race packet for his second half marathon which takes place at 7:30 tomorrow!!!  We are making signs to cheer on Daddy right now!  Complete with purple, green and gold masks and Fleur Di lis....since it is a Mardi Gras half marathon!!!

I've only been to the Rainforset Cafe once. The food wasn't at all what I expected, I was quite disappointed. The experience though was JUST AMAZING!!! The one I went to didn't have a ride or anything.

Looks like you & the boys had a great day out. Good luck to the hubby in his marathon.

I'm never impressed with the rainforest food, but my boys love it!!! La Kings! I love that place. They have the best milk shakes and fountain Dr. Pepper! Holla!!!!

It is a bitterly cold day here in Italy so I am staying warm and cosy by the fire and catching up on my blog reading. Some lovely posts to read here of your recent family life. I hope the Mardi Gras Marathon is a sucess.

That was a fun time I am sure! That ice cream looks good! I love the mommy picture! The Mardi Gras marathon sounds like fun! You two are just doing so wonderful with your marathons! Your children will grow up to admire their parents so much and also be healthy and very active because of it! I hope you are well! Have a great day!
