Rodeo week!

It was RODEO DAY at Justin's school this week!  I had so much fun volunteering and trying to soak up the moments since I felt like Jake had just been there, doing the same thing :)  crazy how quickly time flies by.
Sea Turtle Class 2013
He had so much fun and I couldn't believe stayed decked out with bandana and handmade "cowboy hat" from class!  Precious!  He was making a cactus out of toothpicks and cucumbers!  Hilarious!!

and I had to share the cutest favor bag from a class friend!  Too cute!  It was filled with those circus, icing cookies and the perfect size for the kiddos!  Adorable...wish I was more creative when it comes to things like that!

And Mr. Stud runner is LOVING Running Club!  We completed the first week, with running on Tues and Thursday morning before school.  I am surprised that it's such a large group and all of the kids are very competitive but still practice very good sportsmanship on the track!  When I say I've never seen Jake this happy or competitive, I mean it!  He's hilarious...
takes it very seriously and those marks on his hand, for laps completed, you'd think they were made of gold! All of the kids are SO proud of each lap completed and that's so cool to see!  LOVE IT!
He did 6 laps ( 5 laps is one mile ) on tuesday...

then Wednesday he set a goal of 10 laps but completed 13 !!!!!  SO PROUD!  And he said if it wasn't freezing cold that day, he could have doubled his laps!  Woohoo, he's obviously confident!

and look who ran 6 laps on Thursday!!!!
do you actually think he'd allow big brother to have all of the fun?!  Heck no!  He got out there and begged to run, when I finally gave in he ran and ran and RAN!  He was hysterical because he kept waving, making sure I was watching every step he took!  As they marked his hand, he's scream and give high five's!  My gosh, this boy's personality...SO funny!
So, I'm very proud of both of these boys.  They obviously enjoy running as much as their Daddy and I.  I am just very proud that they've started showing enthusiasm for this sport so early in their lives.  Jake has asked to be on the track team, which I know nothing about so I will brush up on my track and field 101!

And last night was his sweet cousin, Brody's birthday party!  It was camo/hunting and nerf gun wars!  The boys LOVED IT!  It was 8 of his closest buddies and they seriously had some fun shooting their Nerf guns, hunting for coyotes and much more!  Very cool to see the boys all so happy and having a good time!!  They are all growing up too fast!  Happy Birthday Brody, we love you :)
This weekend is Opening Day for baseball so we'll be busy ALL DAY!  But we're looking forward to it...I just love baseball season!

How fun!!! Congrats to both your little guys for being great runners! They're obviously taking after Mommy and Daddy--what great role models you guys are! Oh, and I love the cowboy festivities. I think making a cactus out of a cucumber and toothpicks is awesome. We have to do that here! You guys are the best!
