I have wanted to replace this carpet in our house for almost THREE years! I've begged my hubby, but when I left my teaching position to stay at home with our boys, getting flooring wasn't exactly a top priority! But, FINALLY after much anticipation and waiting IMpatiently...
we've got NEW FLOORS :)
Ok, so these before pics are TERRIBLE because we had things scattered all throughout the house getting things ready to go and rip up this carpet... ....more blah
...and now TA-DA!
...and now TA-DA!
Yes, we still have some work to do on decorating and getting things just the way we like them, but I must say I'm SO happy to finally have this done! Our house actually looks much larger too and no more worrying about spills! Yay! We also had carpet in our dining room, which is sort of attached to the living room, so having NO MORE carpet beneath our dinner table is SOOO wonderful, so no worries about these boys makin' a mess while they eat :)
I'm one happy Momma!
I'm one happy Momma!
And I know this is not something that is necessary in our lives but it sure is nice to finally have something we've wanted for so long!
Oh and another perk: These boys LOVE to wear their socks and go sliding through the living room...oh great, how long until we have a broken bone??!
Have a happy day :)

Looks amazing!!! We're still waiting on our income tax to come in to get ours too!!! I'm so worried about the boys sliding across it too. I've already overheard them talking about their skateboards. Lord help me!!! Have a great weekend girl!
Looks GREAT!!! Can't wait to see it in person!!!

Love the new look, I bet the socks will get worn out quicker than ever!
Oooh, I love the hardwood! It's such a great color stain, and it really makes your furniture pop!
Now bring on the dogs!!! I know you love your Mom......right?
Your floors are beautiful! It's so nice when you finally get something you've wanted for so long! (BTW I need to get rid of our disgusting livingroom carpet too. I can't stand all the food and dirt stains glaring at me...) Enjoy your new room make-over!
Looks wonderful. Love the wood floors.

Beautiful floors - just gives your home a rich look. Good times. I'm so over our tile so I'm a little jealous jones.
VERY nice floors. I'm in the process of getting some estimates for wood floors right now, I am so over all this tile! We are going to put it in pretty much the entire downstairs, 1500 sq. ft. of wood, so it is going to be a very messy job. Not looking forward to that clean up job.
My trip to Goodwill Dallas was VERY short. I had a hockey player in the car who was grumpy and eager to get to his teammates at the hotel. Teenagers! So far, nothing compares to my Goodwill's in Arizona. You'll have to keep trying, something will call your name. ha ha I'm off to Fort Lauderdale on Sunday and will be hitting a Goodwill or two there, are you going to be in that area?
The floors look beautiful!
They look great!!! We did ours a couple years ago, but not our bedroom - this year, though the bedroom is getting the same treatment!!
