Mardi Gras AGAIN!

DON'T FORGET TO ENTER MY GIVEAWAY...ENDS 3/11/11!

but this time...CHOO-CHOO TRAIN STYLE!!! All Aboard...

My newest friend, Sandi over at the Galveston Railroad Museum(if you haven't been, you MUST!) gave us the opportunity of a lifetime to ride in the
Children's Mardi Gras parade this past weekend! My boys were BEYOND thrilled!!

See the smiles on all three boys' faces?? Those NEVER left their faces the ENTIRE day!
and if we're being honest Luke's Momma, Tarah and I were smiling the whole time too!
It was seriously F.U.N!

Sadly, no pics of all of us throwing beads because we were... well, too busy throwing beads!
There were so many people and we sort of felt famous having people shout at us and wave!
There's me and my lil conductor!
The kiddos were suppose to dress up like Conductors
and although it was a little too much for the four year olds,
lil man Justin was ALL over it!
(well, his Mommy was!)

Best Buds :)

We picked the venue for Justin's b-day...I guess you can kind of figure it out,
but I won't give details out just YET! It'll be here soon enough :)
We had SUCH a good time and the kids had a day they'll NEVER forget!
Next year we'll be celebrating Mardi Gras MUCH bigger...
maybe even New Orleans again like in the past?!
No matter what, we'll keep celebrating such a fun time of year
because it sure was FUN!
A lot of my memories as a child, teenager, and adult have Mardi Gras in them!
We have TONS of family in New Orleans and Lake Charles, LA so we've grown up around it for years. We celebrate here in Texas, but its NOTHING like it is in Louisiana...it is a HUGE deal!
I love the music, floats, King Cakes, the beads, the people and if we're in LA-THE FOOD...sooo good! Do you celebrate Mardi Gras where you live??!

How totally cool is this! You do so many fun things with your little ones my friend! I hope you are doing Blog2print so you have a book that has all of your great posts. Thank you for all of your great comments. It has been hard lately for me to write with feeling rather down. I am back now though. Have a great day!

Very cute pics, looks like a lot of fun. Every day is Mardi Gras in my house, my daughter walks around wearing beads all day, they're her fancy jewelry.

Oh that looks like so much fun!!! What a great day!!

We don't celebrate Mardi Gras too much up here in NJ - but maybe we should change that. It sure looks like a great time!

How fun! I bet the boys loved that. They looked adorable!
We don't really celebrate Mardi Gras much in Pittsburgh. I mean, people go out to bars and celebrate, but that's about it!

I really love these pictures! What a fun time! I hope you are doing well Marissa! :) We have had a tough time with things, but also having fun together and enjoying the hint of spring in the air. Let me know if you would like to do an article for the Nestwork. I am going to start that this week. Have a great night my friend!

How fun! No, I can't say I know of many places that celebrate it here. Although, I can say that I've been to New Orleans on New Year's Eve, and it was beyond WILD. I loved it! How neat that you have family there!
