proud to participate!

This weekend, we were asked by some friends from my mom's exercise group to take part in the March of Dimes March for Babies. Once we heard Nick's story, how could we not be touched and want to be a part of raising funds for such an amazing organization...

Nick at 5 days old
Nick's Story: Nicholas Charles was born December 1, 2008 at 26 weeks. He came into this world weighing only 1lb 8 oz. This was the most terrifying experience of my life. But one I am truly thankful for.
Nick spent 3 months and 3 weeks in the NICU at University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He received the benefit, not only of the wonderful and caring staff, but he was able to get lifesaving drugs and treatments. This would not have been possible without research from the March of Dimes.
Not only did March of Dimes pave the way for such treatments, their website was a wonderful resource for me, a mom going through this journey. Every time there was an issue with Nick, or the doctors would tell me what could happen, or what to expect, I could research it on marchofdimes.com and find not only answers, but see stories from parents who had been through similar experiences.
I am happy to report that he made it through those trying times and is now a happy, healthy, spunky toddler.

Chugga Chugga...

CHUGGINGTON!!!

Besides playing outside as much as possible, these boys love CHUGGINGTON! Thankfully the Easter Bunny brought them even more trains, which means they are one train away from having every, single character! YES, it's true! They start the morning off with breakfast and an episode of it on tv, then it's time to play trains! They get out all of the tracks, set them up and start playing...and of course they have to fight over their favorites :)
Seriously thankful for this show, because it's the only show they'll watch on tv together AND the show actually teaches them a lot about choo choo's!

a fun-filled Easter 2011!

I guess you can tell how much fun these boys had by these pictures...ENJOY!!! Hope you all had a very Happy Easter 2011!

This was my uncle's yellow lab, Tara and Justin LOVES dogs, especially this one! We have a yellow lab named, Dixie(he sure loves her too!) but she lives with my mom. Now that we see the bond this boy has with dog's, we might need to bring her back home??! Dog hair all over my floors is the reason she left in the first place, which is SO sad...right? RIGHT :)

it's all about the TEAM!

It's our third season of tball and we're sure having fun! Minus the occasional meltdown on and off the field, this season is by far THE BEST! We're so happy to be with our same team, it's really helped Jacob grow as a player :)
Could this Parent Tunnel be any cooler?! NO WAY :) I think we have the best one!

and let's not forget our team cheerleaders! How cute are they?!

Ok, so that might be as cheesy as it gets, BUT the other day over at my in-law's, the four cousins had a blast swimming, playing, eating and watching movies, so I think a cheesy post title is ok, don't you?!

and Jake looks like ME! But that's ok, we think we'll keep him anyway :)

2 years!?!

Am I really planning a second birthday party?!

Oh my goodness, I am having a really hard time knowing that my baby is growing up...

...and look at you now! So handsome! A Momma's boy when Daddy's not around :), you love choo choo trains, love to sleep and really enjoy your naps. You are a BEYOND picky eater...won't touch a fruit or a veggie-so Momma had to get creative!

and you will be having a super cool Chuggington birthday party with LOTS of trains! And while you'll be having the time of your life, Mommy will probably be sobbing in the background at the fact that my baby will be TWO YEARS OLD!
