our day...

We are happy that Jake's fever has gone away...and that Mommy's back seems to be feeling better!
We are SAD that the Houston Texans lost the football game today...
We are MAD that we've been stuck in our house for THREE days...
But we are SUPER excited that Christmas is almost here...
and YEP, we have way too much time on our hands when we're forced to stay indoors...Ha!

video from Santa...have you made one?

If you've never heard of Portable North Pole, then you MUST check it out!  You plug in your child's information, pictures, what his/her wants from Santa this year and location...then PNP will send a video to your email and it's from SANTA personalized to YOUR child!  Awesome, right?  We just did it again this year and our boys were amazed that Santa knew so much about them and the toys that they wanted!  Plus, Santa told my boys to be nice to their Brother or they'd be put on the Naughty List!  Ha!

Check it out HERE...or go to http://www.portablenorthpole.tv/home

ENJOY!  I sent this to several people through email and they've sent back that their kiddos LOVED it too!

Joy to the World!

We are SO proud and happy that THIS year, Jake decided to SING!!!  If you remember, last year's school Christmas performance consisted of him standing there frozen and pale as a ghost!  THIS year, totally different.  He's coming out of his shell, because he sang his little heart out!

Allen and Jake after the performance!

Action shot!  They are shouting, JOY TO THE WORLD!

and no Christmas performance would be complete without baby brother and MeMe!  DeDe and Pop were busy working or they would have come too!  Mommy might have even shed a tear when she saw Jake sing for the first time!  Sounds silly, but for two years we've watched him just stand there and look completely sick and nervous.  But NOT ANYMORE!!!
Merry Christmas to all of YOU :-)

Moody Gardens-Festival of Lights

Last night we decided to head to the Festival of Lights in Galveston...we had a great time and it was actually cold, winter weather so it felt like Christmas time!

driving Santa's sleigh

We watched Polar Express 4D and it was awesome!  The boys loved it.  You could smell the "hot, hot chocolate", feel the breeze from the train, saw snow falling into your hands and even felt the wind from Santa's sleigh...very cool experience!

our Local 2 news weather guy, Frank Billingsley!  We watch him every day!

And we were even able to roast marshmallows!  Yum!
And Jake approved the s'mores!  He said they were SO GOOD!

The only bummer was that nobody was around to take our pictures, so it was always Mommy and her boys or Daddy and the boys :(  but oh well, still a fun night that we'll remember for a long time!  Christmas music was playing and bells were jingling...I just LOVE this time of year!
Hope you're enjoying the holiday season!

those eyes...

Ah, I love these eyes!  We were eating lunch the other day and he gave me THIS look...and those eyes made me melt!  It was taken on my phone, so you can't really see how blue those eyes are!  Maybe I'm just saying that because I'm his Momma, but I sure love this sweet boy!  Now that we're having cooler weather, he's in love with wearing his Hook 'Em hat!!

So Happy...

because when I walk in the door after I run, HE is there waiting for me...

He tells me, "Momma, you're all sweaty" and asks me, "Did you go fast or too slow?"  He says he'll be much faster than me one day (and I'm sure he's right!) but no matter what when I walk in the door, he has a smile on his face and is happy to see his Mommy!  Whew, look at my red cheeks :)

The half marathon is January 15th...it's really getting close!  I'm nervous and excited, but when I see my hubby, my two boys and our parents at the finish line, I'm sure it'll all be worth it!

Christmas Parade 2011

Do you see Santa?  He's up there!!!

Luke and Jake

My hubby and I

party decor by Tarah...she did a great job being festive!

This was THE highlight for my boys...Grinder(Monster Jam) in the parade!

LOTS of fire trucks, both new and old in this parade!

THROW US SOME CANDY!!!

too much parade fun!!!
Our community has a Christmas parade every year and this one was really fun!  Our friends hosted a parade watching party at their business, so we were able to enjoy refreshments, clean potties and the kids playing on a moonwalk, while waiting for the parade to begin!  All of the kids had a blast playing for hours and we had a great time too.
By the time the parade started, I think all of the kids were tired.  It started to rain and we all headed to covered areas, and as I was running(not sure why I was running, it was JUST rain!), I fell with my baby in my arms.  We flew in the air and smacked the concrete.  I thought FOR SURE he busted his head on the ground, but THANKFULLY my baby was ok. Not a scratch.  I however, was feeling some pain, but I must have protected him just right to where it was all MOMMA that hit the ground :(
